Hi, I am Nafey, and I grade college essays for a living.
I’m Nafey Ud Din, a university English lecturer. Every semester I read hundreds of student essays, research papers, and exam answers. I see the same mistakes again and again, and most of them are easy to fix once someone explains them clearly.
That is why I started this blog. It is the advice I give students in office hours, written down for anyone who needs it.

What you can expect here
Every article is written by me, based on real teaching experience. I use original examples, step-by-step instructions, and templates you can use right away. When rules come from official sources, such as the MLA Handbook or the APA Publication Manual, I check them against those sources. Read more in my Editorial Policy.
The views on this site are my own and do not represent the institutions where I teach.
